1988 - First Imperial Century
A charity ride from Warwick Racecourse to Worcester - 100 miles round tip.
I was followed by my mum and sister in the car - just in case!!
Things to note on this trip; there weren't that many of us who took part as you can see from the pictures at the start of the event. Very few were in what you might call cycling clothes. Most people just wore jogging bottoms, T-shirt and trainers. Helmets weren't even a thing back in the 80's, although there is one guy sporting a helmet at the start.
The roads were all 'A' or 'B' roads, no cycle tracks, disused railways or canal paths!
Not the exact route, but some of what I can remember!
